Meet McLovin’, the Texas Pitbull— a bundle of joy and energy hailing from the heart of Houston.
Adam Miller, The Texas Bulldog, adopted McLovin’ from BARC in November 2021. Adam went to BARC and took McLovin’ out from his kennel to play at a dog run. When it was time to go, McLovin’ leaned up against Adam and stared into his eyes “take me home”. Adam took a picture, showed it to his wife, Katie, and told her the story from BARC. She let out a little tear. The next day, Katie (now a Fur Momma), went to BARC, adopted McLovin’ and brought him up to Adam’s office to surprise him. HAPPY RESCUE DAY!!! Since then, the duo has been an unstoppable force for justice in the greater Houston community.
True to his name, McLovin is a charming mix of loyalty and playfulness. His protective nature makes him an ideal companion, always vigilant about his family’s well-being. Yet, he’s also incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than to snuggle up with his humans after a long day of adventures.
McLovin’ goes to work everyday with his dad, where McLovin’ keeps the morale at the office up. Every colleague at the office has a dog bowl next to their desk. McLovin’ goes to visit everyone – everyday.
Highly energetic and curious, McLovin’ thrives on exploring new smells on long walks aka Sniffari, where he can meet and greet his canine pals. With his smart and quick-to-learn attitude, he’s always up for a challenge or learning a new trick i.e. baking. His ability to read human emotions makes him an intuitive friend, always knowing when to offer a paw or a nuzzle.
Whether he’s running around discovering new scents or enjoying a cozy cuddle at home, McLovin’ is the epitome of a happy-go-lucky pup—living life to the fullest and spreading joy wherever he wags his tail.
Not only does McLovin’ love Houston, but he also loves helping Houstonians who need legal help.
